ETC BioMedical Systems Creates O.S.C.A.R.™, a Stand-alone Version of Its Industry-leading, Computer-based, Monoplace Hyperbaric Chamber Control System
ETC BioMedical Systems, the world leader in the development and manufacture of monoplace hyperbaric chambers with computer-based, automated control systems, today confirmed that it has received FDA 510(k) clearance for O.S.C.A.R.™. O.S.C.A.R.™ is an acronym for "Operating System for Control And Recordkeeping."
This system is a stand-alone version of ETC BioMedical Systems' long-established, award-winning1control system, previously integrated into the chamber chassis, which has dominated the industry for over 20 years. O.S.C.A.R.™ will perform all functions of chamber operation and monitoring including chamber pressure-time control, profile management, and profile record keeping.
FDA 510(k) clearance of O.S.C.A.R.™ will enable ETC BioMedical Systems to develop new chamber designs and other systems to further modernize the conduct and recordkeeping of hyperbaric oxygen treatments. The standards set by O.S.C.A.R.™ are available to all ETC BioMedical Systems' monoplace chambers.
We welcome any comments and/or suggestions on this method of communication and on future topics.
