Barbara enjoys applying her journalistic talents to manuscripts to ensure authors are saying what they mean in language all clinicians can understand — creatively, she’s a poet at heart. Best part of the job is positive author feedback regarding article clarity. Worst part of her job is keeping authors to deadlines, appreciating their multiple commitments. Before coming to OWM as Managing Editor in 2000, Barbara was the Staff Writer for Clinical Laboratory Management Association, before that a stay-at-home mom actively involved in parent-teacher organizations, and before that an elementary school teacher. She is known around the office as Den Mother. You can contact her with ideas or just to kvetch at bzeiger@hmpcommunications.com.
