YouTube & Wounds
There is no denying it, YouTube.com is a part of the mass culture and one of the many sites on the Internet that is already a household name.
It is a free way to get one’s message out to the world. Some may believe that the site and all it’s content is juvenile, but this is simply not true. It is here to stay and it offers opportunity for educational value and exposure for the wound care community. We have compiled more than 30 videos here from YouTube’s vast database of content and in the coming months and years we will add many more.
It may also be of value for clinicians to take notice of the growing trend of patients out there that are filming their wound treatments. It will be surely interesting to see what we as a community can learn from all of this?
I encourage all wound care professionals to get involved and experiment with the site. Film the staff of your facilities and document different procedures that you are doing in the clinic setting. Enjoy these videos related to wound care found on YouTube.
Disclaimer: TWC and HMP Communications do not support any of the techniques, procedures and practices performed in these videos clips. It is simply an example of what already exists online.
